Manchester United Target Is ‘Hours Away’ From Summer Move

Serge Aurier

Paris Saint Germain defender Serge Aurier is nearing a move to Tottenham Hotspur amid interest from Manchester United, according to reports.

The Red Devils have been tipped move for the Ivorien defender this summer after he was left out of PSG’s preseason tour in order to sort his future.

United were believed to have held positive talks with Aurier over a potential move but the move fell through as they reportedly waited for an appeal over his ban into the United Kingdom.

Spurs are now in the pole position to sign the 25-year-old ahead of United and are willing to part with €27 million (€2m in bonuses) to sign the defender.

The North Londoners are understood to be looking for a replacement for Kyle Walker who left for Manchester City earlier this summer for a 50 million pounds.

The presence of Thomas Menieur and Dani Alves have also signalled the end of Parc des Princes career and a move to the Premier League could be a step in the right direction.

Manchester United are said to be considering a versatile midfielder that can also play at right-back position, with the likes of Barcelona star Sergi Roberto and Monaco’s Fabinho both tipped to make an Old Trafford move.
