Premier League giants Chelsea will demand at least £100m for star player Eden Hazard if the Belgian international forward says that he wants to leave the club.
This is according to the report from popular English news outlet Daily Telegraph.
It was revealed that the Blues will demand a club-record transfer fee of £100m in the event that Hazard says he would like to join European champions Real Madrid.
Eden Hazard has previously talked up his dream move to Real Madrid.
The 28-year-old was widely tipped to sign for the Los Merengues last summer as a replacement for ex-talisman Cristiano Ronaldo but a transfer didn’t materialize.
Ronaldo had swapped Real Madrid for Juventus in a club-record transfer deal worth at least €100m thus making him the most expensive 30+ player in history.
Eden Hazard has just 18 months remaining on his current deal with Chelsea meaning that the Blues might have to sell him in the summer or risk losing him for free next year.
He’s undoubtedly the Blues’ best player and the former Lille star has shown his qualities again for Chelsea this season.
The Belgian forward has scored 10 goals and assisted 10 goals in the Premier League this season.
