Manchester United Set To Sign Highly-rated Powerhouse As Club ‘Give Go Ahead’ For Summer Transfer

Barcelona star player Samuel Umtiti has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, and it appears he is destined to play at Old Trafford next season.

And according to new reports circulating in Italy, the Camp Nou club are stalling over a new contract offer to the talented Frenchman, boosting Jose Mourinho’s chances of signing him when summer comes.

The defender is yet to decide if he will stay with Barca beyond the end of this term. And since the club themselves are not rushing to tie the player to a new deal, it appears they are giving him the go-ahead to join any other club he desires.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of the player and he believes Samuel has all it takes to add more power to his defense at Old Trafford.

Apart from a defender, the Portuguese tactician is also seeking to sign one or two midfielders when summer comes. He is losing the duo of Marouane Fellaini and Micheal Carrick at the end of this season, and his side have been linked with the likes of Nice’s Jean Michael Seri and Monaco’s Fabinho.

Manchester United are still sitting on the second spot of the premier league table ahead of their next top-flight game against West Brom on Sunday.
