Bayern Munich star player Douglas Costa has been linked with a permanent move away from the German club in recent times after he emerged as a target for premier league heavyweights Manchester United.
And according to new reports circulating in the media, the Old Trafford club are set to pay the £79million required to get his signature.
The South American star was signed by Bayern Munich in 2015, but he was on loan at Juventus all-through the just-concluded season. Costa was, however, able to impress at Turin – scoring 7 times and provided 13 assists for his teammates.
Juventus agreed to pay Bayern Munich and initial £7 million, with the view of paying another £33 Million if they are pleased with his performances.
Although the Serie A champions remain interested in making him a permanent player, there are other important departments they are desperate to reinforce this summer – which means Diego could move back to Munich.
Manchester United now have access to sign him before the start of next season, and it was reported by (The Sun) that they won’t mind splashing up to £79M just to get his signature and bring him down to Old Trafford.
Although Juve are still likely to make him a permanent player, there are chances he will find himself at United.
