Manchester United are considering a summer swoop for Espanyol duo of Aaron Martin and David Lopez, according to reports.
It is understood that the Red Devils sent their scout, Toni Lima to watch the pair during Espanyol’s narrow victory over Alaves last Saturday.
Reports in Mundo Deportivo claim that Jose Mourinho is keen on adding Martin and Lopez to his squad next summer transfer window.
Martin who only made his debut recently has gone to become the first choice left-back at the club and Mourinho is looking to sign the 19-year-old to replace Luke Shaw who might be leaving Old Trafford next summer window.
Although, reports also have it that Real Madrid and Manchester City are also monitoring Martin’s situation and might compete with United for his signature.
The youngster has a release clause of €30 million with his current contract running till the summer of 2018, while Lopez also has a release clause of €40 million in his current deal after returning to the club from Napoli.
Jose Mourinho has continued to search for reinforcements in the summer transfer window, with suggestions that he wants to bolster his squad and might also send some of the players packing in a bid to create space for new signings.
