Arsenal are set to listen to offers from Premier League rival Manchester City for Alexis Sanchez, who will depart on a free next summer should he refuse to sign a new deal at the club.
According to Goal, Sanchez is resolved to leave Arsenal this summer transfer window, in spite of their endeavours to keep him at the club, and are planning to listen to offers from the blue half of Manchester.
Arsenal had conversations with Sanchez’s representatives and have become increasingly worried that their star man will leave the club regardless of the possibility of a robust pay rise and the report recommends that Arsenal accepts there is almost no possibility of Sanchez Sanchez listening to their attempts.
If the Etihad club were to take the Chilean away from the Emirate Stadium this season, then a bid of about £50 million should do, although City Chiefs are worried that the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger may delay the transfer as much as possible so as to inconvenience Pep Guardiola and his team.
The transfer saga will linger on, but it is becoming increasingly sure that the Chile International forward will join Manchester City at some point in this summer transfer window.
