Three Premier League giants, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham have all been put on their toes by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez as he seemed to have reduced the price tag on his two superstars according to reports.
Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema have failed to impress for the Galaticos this season and they are heavily linked with a move out of Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
After poor performance from his players in the local scene this campaign, Florentino is reportedly going to revamp his squad by selling some less-impressive players so as to create space for new players who would be making a switch to Santiago Bernabeu.
It is believed that the Wales and France international are part of the players who could be shown the exit door by the close of the season.
Knowing both players’ present uninspiring form, Perez and his boards have decided to sell them for as low as €70m (£61.1m), according to Don Balon. Though, the fee could increase to €100m depending on how the three clubs compete for them.
United manager José Mourinho has been Bale’s longtime admirer and he will be happy to see that he now stands a greater chance of reuniting with his former player.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese will face stiff competition from Tottenham, who are hoping to re-sign the player whom they sold to the Santiago Bernabeu outfits in 2012.
As Benzema, Chelsea remains keen on his signature as they hope to strengthen their attacking frontline ahead of the 2018-19 season.
