De Gea

Following reports that Manchester United have triggered the clause in the contract terms of Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea to have him remain for another year, the player might be considering to stay back.

De Gea refused to commit his future to the Red Devils which made him free to leave the club at the end of the season but for the clause, he has got in his deal with the club.

It was also reported when the Old Trafford side resolves to extend the stay of the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper that efforts will be made to convince him again with time already bought by the 12-month extension.

This might be working through for the Red Devils with the latest report that De Gea has handed some conditions to the club to meet so he can willingly accept to stay longer.

The Mirror reports that the Spanish goalkeeper is seeking for a pay rise at the club that will have him amongst the highest paid players at the club while he is also seeking to know what the future of Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho holds at the club.

There are insinuations that De Gea is uncomfortable with Mourinho as his boss and will only wish he is sacked and replaced.
