Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic found the back of the net in the German club’s Europa League quarterfinal first leg clash with Portuguese giants Benfica.

Luka Jovic is on a two-year loan deal at Eintracht Frankfurt from Benfica at the moment and there’s an agreement in place for the transfer to be made permanent.

The 21-year-old has been in sensational form for Eintracht Frankfurt this term and that has led to transfer rumours linking him with some of the biggest clubs on the European football scene including Chelsea.

Others like Real Madrid, Liverpool and Barcelona have also been mentioned as a possible transfer destination for the Serbian international.

Luka Jovic hit a 40th-minute equaliser for Frankfurt in their Europa League quarterfinal first leg clash at Benfica after Joao Felix had given the hosts the lead on 21 minutes following the dismissal of French defender Evans N’Dicka.

The goal from Luka Jovic was not enough for Eintracht Frankfurt who lost 4-2 to Benfica though the Germans can still qualify for the last four via the second leg on home soil next week Thursday.

Luka Jovic has now scored 24 goals for Eintracht Frankfurt this season with his latest strike against Benfica taking his tally to eight goals in 11 Europa League games.
