Brazilian dropped from squad as January move to Chelsea looks ever closer

Lucas Moura

Chelsea target and Brazil international Lucas Moura has been dropped from Paris Saint Germain’s squad to lock horns with Troyes tonight, as the South American moves further closer to departure at the Parc des Princes.

Lucas Moura also missed out against French Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco last weekend, in a match which saw his side victory to go 9 points clear in the French Ligue 1. Having not started a single match this campaign, the Brazilian won’t feel much pride if PSG reclaims the League title.

To be fair to Paris Saint Germain manager Unai Emery, with a large and good squad like that it’s difficult to see a starting place for Chelsea target Lucas Moura. It’s no major surprise to see the Brazilian linked with a transfer as soon as the New Year- whether that’s to Premier League Champions, Chelsea or any other interested clubs.

According to a report by Goal.com, the PSG boss Emery informed fringe players like the Brazilian that that would be the situation this campaign. Now that it’s been confirmed and proven, it wasn’t a sham, the PSG winger may have to seriously switch to another club in the January transfer window for the sake of his football career and the FIFA World Cup coming up in Russia next summer.
