Liverpool Takes Important Step To Sign South American Superstar

Liverpool are interested in signing Javier Pastore from PSG, and they have made a move to bring the attacking midfielder down to Anfield, according to new reports.

Javier joined the French heavyweights back in 2011 and has evolved into one of the best players in the Ligue 1. In 248 games for PSG, he was able to score 44 times and has become an important member of the club. However, the Argentina international has been strongly linked with a move away from Paris in recent times.

There were speculations Serie A giants Inter Milan are interested in signing him this month, and that the Argentine star is also interested in moving back to Italy.

Gianluca Di Marzio made it known that the San Siro club have come up against strong competition from two big English clubs.

According to the Italian news outlet, both Liverpool and Tottenham are fighting for the player’s signature, and both have submitted offers to Paris Saint Germain.

Unfortunately, Pastore is not interested in moving to England right now, and he has personally rejected the bids from Liverpool and Tottenham.

It was added that his agent is now in the Italian capital to complete a deal with Inter Milan before the closure of the ongoing winter transfer window.
