Liverpool suffer MAJOR setback in pursuit of 25-year-old man

According to Spanish media reports, Liverpool looks ready to miss out on the landing Brazil goalkeeper Alisson Becker after the Roma safe hand agreed to terms with La Liga side Real Madrid ahead of a switch to Madrid.

Goalkeeper agree to deal
Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, as cited by the Daily Express, is claiming that the South American has agreed terms with the Spanish side to deliver a major blow to Liverpool’s hopes of landing the Brazilian.

The same report states that the shot-stopper will sign a five-year deal thought to be about £4.4million a year, which would be a major pay rise.

Perez ready to spend
As per the same report, Real Madrid Chief Executive Florentino Perez is ready to approve a £61.4million bid including add-ons in a bid to finally sign Alisson this summer.

The Reds are believed to be on the lookout to land a new goalie to improve upon Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius.

Loris Karius started in the UEFA Champions League final in May following a bright second stanza of last stanza.

The German goalkeeper made two errors in a 3-1 defeat to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League encounter.

The Merseysider’s finished in fourth place in the English Premier League last season.
