Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku is the subject of a transfer battle between two major clubs on the European football scene according to widespread reports coming out of the British media.
Former Chelsea striker Lukaku has already hinted that he could leave Manchester United this summer in search of more playing time having lost his position as the Red Devils’ first choice striker to Three Lions of England star Marcus Rashford.
According to the publication from The Express, French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan are ready to battle for the right to win his signature.
PSG are said to be ready to pay almost all the transfer fee spent on his move from Everton to the Theatre of Dreams at the start of last season though the player may favour a move to Italy ahead of France thus putting Inter Milan in the mix.
The Italians might be at a disadvantage on the financial front since they can’t compete with the might of PSG who have the record for the top two most expensive transfers in history following the capture of forwards Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Romelu Lukaku has scored 14 goals for Manchester United in all competitions this season including 12 goals in the Premier League.
