Agent of Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker has revealed that there are talks with Paris Saint Germain amid serious interest from Manchester United.
The 22-year-old broke into the senior team at the Belgian side in 2013 and has gone to be an integral part of the squad, making 89 appearances in the Jupiler league.
However, Dendoncker has been linked with a move away from Anderlecht this summer, with reports of interest from several clubs in Europe.
Jose Mourinho is said to be an admirer of the midfielder’s abilities after seeing him dazzle against his side in the Europa League last season and have sent scouts to watch him on several occasions in the past few months.
However, the midfielder’s agent, Christophe Henrotay has revealed that he held talks with PSG over a potential move while admitting interest from a couple of clubs.
He Foot Mercato: ‘I spoke with PSG some time ago about several Anderlecht players.
‘It is true that there is interest from many clubs.
‘But that does not mean that Leander will move to PSG, so there’s a lot to happen,
Anderlecht are understood to be open to a summer exit for the Dendoncker, after the sport manager Herman Van Holsbeeck revealed: ‘We want to cherish him, but if a club is willing to pay €25-35 million (£22-27m), we have a problem.
