Forget Lemar – This Is The Superstar Klopp Wants To Sign To Replace Coutinho

Leon Goretzka

According to reports by metro, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is not giving up on Leon Goretzka’s signature, and he is ready to do all it takes to bring the talented player over to Anfield.

Few days back, Bayern Munich expressed their interest in Leon amid speculations that the Bundesliga heavyweights are close to agreeing a deal with the German international.

But it was made known recently that Jurgen Klopp’s side are still in touch with Leon’s party, and they are trying all they could to convince him to ignore other clubs interested in him.

It was also added that the Merseyside club have made the signing of the 22-year-old their top priority for the ongoing winter transfer window and are more interested in the German than Monaco’s Thomas Lemar.

Lemar has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in recent times, and the reds even made attempts to get his signature during the past summer transfer window – but his side refused letting go of him.

Monaco have also insisted they won’t sell the France international this month but will keep him until the end of the season.

More recently, Roma star player Kevin Strootman has also been linked with a move to Anfield.

Leon will be out of contract at Schalke at the end of this season and would be able to leave the German club on a free transfer.
