As per Calciomercato, European Champions Real Madrid are willing to listen to offers for Frenchman Karim Benzema for a Whopping £62m to raise fund for the acquisition of Kylian Mbappe from Monaco and the Gunners are among clubs interested in signing the prolific striker.
According to Marca, La Liga Champions Real Madrid has agreed a whopping £161m deal with French club Monaco to sign Kylian Mbappe with the young forward ready to sign a six-year contract at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid has already sold Alvaro Morata to Premier League Champions Chelsea, but Calciomercato are quoting a report from Diario Gol that claims Real are also planning to sell Benzema to make room for incoming Mbappe.
The Gunners are named in the report as one of several clubs showing interest in signing Benzema with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger supposedly eyeing the 29-year-old forward as a potential replacement for unsettled Chilean Alexis Sanchez.
The Express reported a week ago that the manager may make a move for France international Benzema if Sanchez was sold this summer transfer window and on the face of it the Frenchman will be a brilliant signing as he’s one of the most prolific forwards in Europe.
