Jurgen Klopp Still Interested In €60m-rated Player
Five-time European champions Liverpool are still keen on a move for highly-rated Lyon forward Nabil Fekir according to well respected French journalist Julian Laurens.
According to him, the Reds still retain their interest for the 25-year-old.
The French international player came close to joining Liverpool in the summer but the move didn’t materialise.
The Premier League giants had agreed to a fee of around €60m for him before they pulled the plug on the transfer over concerns relating to his knee.
Julian Laurens further revealed that other European heavyweights like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested in the Frenchman.
Nabil Fekir is one of the most sought-after players on the European football scene following his impressive showings for French Ligue 1 giants Lyon in the last two seasons.
He was in devastating form as he helped Lyon qualify for this season’s UEFA Champions League via a third-place finish on the league table at the end of the last campaign.
Nabil Fekir then went on to play a part in the French team’s World Cup title triumph in the summer.
He was a part of the France squad that won this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
