Julian Draxler’s representative has fueled rumour that his client is set to join Merseyside club Liverpool by attending the Reds’ 4-2 victory against Bundesliga side Hoffenheim at Anfield Stadium on Wednesday.
The German’s representative – Roger Wittmann, was seen at Liverpool’s home ground as manager Jurgen Klopp’s men secured their place in the UEFA Champions League group stages.
The Liverpool boss admitted after the win that the Redl’s transfer business could become a lot easier given that top players are more likely to join a club in the UEFA Champions League.
Notwithstanding, Liverpool still risk the danger of losing Brazilian Philippe Coutinho, who has submitted a transfer request to push through a transfer move to La Liga giant FC Barcelona.
The German has been touted to replace the Liverpool ace, and Draxler is free to depart Paris Saint-Germain for £32m.
As per Sky Germany, the German’s agent watched the clash at Anfield Stadium and is looking for a new club for his client.
Wiitmann also represents Reds forward Roberto Firmino, who netted Liverpool’s’ fourth goal on the night against his former club at Anfield.
The Merseysiders remain determined to keep Coutinho, but FC Barcelona are expected to table a third offer of about £138m for the Brazil international.
Should Liverpool decide to sell Coutinho finally, Julian Draxler would be a suitable replacement.
