Jose Mourinho has got some of the best central-backs in the premier league at Manchester United, but it seems the Portuguese boss desire adding more quality to his defense department when summer comes.
Ahead of the summer transfer window, the red devils have been linked with PSG’s Marquinhos and it appears the Brazilian international will play in the premier league next season.
Last month, it was reported that the French club are not interested in selling Marquinhos even though Man United are ready to pay €70million for him.
This month however, according to Sport, the Old Trafford club have made an offer of €70million for him, and PSG are now set to accept the offer.
The Spanish outlet revealed that Manchester United are not the only club interested in signing the Samba star, but Spanish giants Barcelona, are also offering him €50million. It was however added that PSG are not interested in conducting business with Barcelona – so, Man United remain favourites to get his signature.
Another club that could have contend with Jose Mourinho’s side for Marquinhos’ signing is premier league champions Chelsea. However, it was reported that the Stamford Bridge club are no longer interested in the Samba star and are now looking to sign Davinson Sanchez from Ajax as a long-term replacement for John Terry.
The 23-year-old defender is an important player at PSG currently. This season in 43 games, he scored four times, but couldn’t help the Paris club win the French Ligue I trophy which was lost to Monaco.
