£60m Liverpool Target Wants Leicester City Stay

In-demand Leicester City midfielder James Maddison has told the Foxes that he wants to stay at the club beyond this summer despite the numerous transfer interest shown by major Premier League sides.

According to the Daily Mail, the 22-year-old has told senior Leicester City officials that he would like to stay at the club.

James Maddison has been attracting the interest of Premier League clubs like Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

The Reds were previously linked with the former Norwich City player.

James Maddison is presently rated at £60m by Leicester City who are in no hurry to sell him.

He became a Leicester City player last summer following his transfer from English Championship club Norwich City last summer.

Leicester City paid the Canaries around £22m to secure his signing at the start of the just concluded season.

James Maddison proved to be an instant hit for the Foxes in the Premier League despite the fact that he had to make the step up from the second tier of English football last summer.

He scored seven goals and also provided seven assists in 36 games in the Premier League.

James Maddison was one of the key players for Leicester City who finished in ninth position at the end of the Premier League campaign.
