Arsenal midefielder Santi Carzola could play in December or not, according to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger “Santi Cazorla is not close to first team action”.
Carzola was sent to Spain to see a specialist concerning his recurring Achilles Injury that has so far left him out for over a month now.
His injury has been pretty frustration for the club and fans alike as the team does better with the talismanic Spanish playmaker in the side, amidst all the media inquisition into the gravity of his injury during Wenger’s press conference he addressed the issue.
“At the moment I’ve given up on that.“I don’t know how far he is. He looks to me that he’s making progress, but as long as the player is not in full-time training you can’t set targets.
“It’s not a big injury, it’s not one that will harm his future, it’s an inflammation at the back of his Achilles. And with inflammation it’s always hard to tell.
“My gut feelings is two weeks, but after two weeks it takes another two weeks of training to get back to full fitness.”
Judging from the press conference there is this a possibility the midfielder could return towards Christmas period but he could also be out till next year.
