In exactly 5 weeks from now, the January transfer window will open and it seems a reunion is about to happen at the Blues, with latest reports from Italy stating that Maurizio Sarri is about to hit the panic button and call on his ex-player Gonzalo Higuain to join him at Chelsea.

The player has been quoted to have said he is waiting by the phone for former boss Maurizio Sarri’s call that will reunite them at Chelsea.

Populate Italian newspaper, CalcioMercato unveiled that the AC Milan striker is said to be interested in a move to the London club. The report also emphasized that Sarri is also keen to bring Higuain to the club, with the Blues lacking in firepower, and will make a move as soon as possible.

The Argentine international is currently on loan from Juventus to AC Milan had previously played under Chelsea’s new boss Sarri whilst he was a player at Napoli.

Higuaín is the only second player after Zlatan Ibrahimović to score over 100 goals in two of the top European leagues in the past 20 seasons.

Multiple sources believe the player might just be plying his trade in the English premier league very soon if a deal pulls through between him and Chelsea.
