Emerging report indicate that French midfielder Paul Pogba was handed a ban by Manchester United.
This was made known when the player was approached for an interview after United’s 0-0 stalemate against Valencia at the Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
It is United’s worst start in a long time and the bad results have been attributed to the unrest in the dressing room.
Pogba and United manager Jose Mourinho have been involved in lots of controversial situations that have led to a sour relationship between the both of them.
The Portuguese manager is not satisfied with the player’s attitude and claims the French midfielder does not respect the club.
Manager Mourinho came heavy on Pogba by taking off the captain band from him in addition to what was seen as an exchange of words between them.
Following the bust-up, Manchester United had handed the former Juventus a ‘ban’ which was initially not made open in any way until it was revealed by the player.
The World Cup winner told the press that he has been ‘ban’ not to talk again to the press as part of the condition of obeying the rules of the club as entailed in his contract agreement form.
It is however not clear if the decision to stop him from talking was made by Mourinho or vice-chairman Ed Woodward but suggestions are that the decision was made to help see out media controversies.
