The wait might be finally over for Arsenal central defender Laurent Koscielny as he will finally return to action after months of sideline.
This was revealed by manager Unai Emery who hinted that the Gunners captain may finally have his debut for this season in the Europa League game on Thursday against Qarabag.
It will no doubt be a memorable return for the French star knowing that he last played a game for the Gunners in a Europa League game last season when former manager Arsene Wenger led the team to the semi-final against Atletico Madrid last season.
Before his layoff, Laurent Koscielny was one of the best in the club which ensured that he was rewarded with the club’s captain band.
However, it is not expected to be a very competitive game for the North London side knowing that they have already secured a qualification to the next round by leading the group.
This, therefore, makes manager Unai Emery hint that he will make use of his younger players in the U23 team but will have Laurent Koscielny join the team so as to return gradually to competitiveness.
Meanwhile, the Gunners have been able to go 21 matches at a stretch without suffering a defeat in the absence of Laurent Koscielny.
