Monaco star player Fabinho has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

And according to reports, the talented Brazilian star is hoping to force his way out of Monaco to move to Old Trafford.

The samba star flourished at Monaco last term and helped the club with the Ligue 1 title. And while Monaco sold the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko and Bernardo Silva, they kept Fabinho.

Both Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain were interested in getting Fabinho’s signature last summer, but the club failed to sanction his departure.

Fabinho, however, looks set to leave the club at the end of this season, as it appears he is desperate to make a move. And the Sun made it known that Manchester United is his preferred destination.

Jose Mourinho is ready to utilise the upcoming summer window to reinforce his midfield department. He is expected to lose the duo of Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini, and his side have been linked with a handful of top midfielders to fill the void.

Apart from Fabinho, the duo of Jean Michael Seri (Nice) and Fred (Shakhtar Donetsk) have also emerged as targets for the red devils.

Manchester United will take a short trip to the Etihad Stadium this weekend for their next premier league game against Manchester City.
