Fabinho Fighting Spirit Lauded By Liverpool Teammate

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is full of admiration for the fighting spirit shown by teammate Fabinho in his first season at the club.

Naby Keita praised the impact of the Brazilian international in a recent interview with the official website of the club as he lauded Fabinho for the way he has been able to fight back to win his shirt in the Liverpool XI.

According to him, Fabinho started the season on the bench but he worked hard in training and never gave up on a place in the Liverpool team under Jurgen Klopp.

Fabinho’s hard work paid off as the Brazilian international is now a key member of the Liverpool midfield.

Liverpool signed Fabinho from French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco at the start of this season in a deal believed to be around €40m.

The 25-year-old largely struggled to get into the Liverpool XI in the first few months and that prompted transfer rumours with major European clubs like French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and AC Milan but he has been able to adjust to the demands of being a Liverpool player.

He has also shown his versatility for Liverpool this season having played in the defence in addition to his customary midfield role to cover up for injuries earlier this year.
