Everton Linked With Surprise £10m Swoop For Liverpool Player

Everton have surprisingly been linked with a £10m swoop for a player from fierce rivals Liverpool.

According to the report from footballtransfertavern, Liverpool striker Divock Origi could seal a £10m move across Merseyside to Everton.

The Toffees have struggled for goals in the striking department mainly due to the loss of form on the part of Turkish international striker Cenk Tosun.

Everton manager Marco Silva has been forced to play Brazilian international star Richarlison upfront in the Premier League for the majority of the last two months.

Belgian international striker Divock Origi has been on the fringes of the Liverpool team this season and a transfer to Everton will offer him more playing opportunities than what he’s getting at Anfield at the moment.

The 23-year-old has made just three appearances in all competitions since he returned to Liverpool following a loan spell at German Bundesliga side VFL Wolfsburg last season.

He scored six goals for Wolfsburg throughout last season.

Divock Origi had previously spent a loan spell at French Ligue 1 side Lille shortly after he signed for Liverpool in the summer of 2014.

The Belgian striker caught the eye at the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.
He joined the Reds shortly after the tournament in South America.
