Ed Woodward makes Mourinho’s fans smile once more

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho and teh fans are expected to be cheerful at the moment with the words of the executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

Woodward disclosed that he is ready to put smile in face of the club’s fans by ensuring better activities at the transfer market when the window opens in order to bring trophies to the club again.

He said he and his board are “working tirelessly” to end trophy-less seasons at the Old Trafford.

United recorded a slow start of the season, losing two of their first three league games and Mourinho blamed the executive vice-chairman for that.

The Portuguese had protested the lack of activities in the summer ttransfer window and predicted a difficult season for his side.

Nevertheless, all United family can now smile because Woodward said he is bent on adding to the club’s 66 and Mourinho’s 25 trophies.

United that recorded a huge turnover but they spent only £72.7m in the summer on Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant and missing out on Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld and Leicester’s centre half, Harry Maguire.

United were almost thrown into crisis with lots of media bashing on the former Chelsea manager who was accused of being the architect of controversies at the Old Trafford.
