According to reports, Liverpool have shortlisted Burnley defender James Tarkowski and Newcastle’s Jamaal Lascelle as their two key central defensive transfer targets in the summer.
Liverpool keen on defensive duo
The Independent is claiming that Liverpool are interested in both Lascelle and Tarkowski as manager Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his defensive line at Merseyside ahead of next campaign.
The Reds have only recently spent hugely on a new defender, with the Merseyside giant having signed Virgil van Dijk from Premier League side Southampton in the winter transfer window.
As per to the same report, signing another centre-half is a major priority for them as they look to assemble a team capable of winning the League title next term.
Liverpool want three to four players
The same report states that the Reds are looking to sign three to four new players this summer transfer window, including a goalkeeper.
The Champions League finalists finished in the fourth position on the Premier League log this term to book their spot in the UEFA Champions League for next term.
They are presently preparing for their crucial UEFA Champions League final clash against holder Real Madrid on Saturday night.
The Merseyside giant will be hoping to mount a serious English Premier League title challenge next season under Jurgen Klopp.
