Arsenal defender, Nacho Monreal has told club fans not to be worried about his future, noting that he is happy at the club and will not be going anywhere.
He made this statement in reaction to fears over the faith of Arsenal left-back as the player is running into the last year of his contract with no talks of an extension yet.
Monreal, therefore, disclosed that he is already in contact with the club’s authorities and talks are progressing as it ought to be.
The fullback says he is settled in north London and will extend his stay at the Emirates for more years.
The 33-year-old said what is more important to him is the relationship he has built in his last six years at the club, hence that is enough reason to want him to remain.
Meanwhile, the Spaniard is not the only one whose contract is already running out without an extension yet.
The likes of Aaron Ramsey, Danny Welbeck and Petr Cech are also in the same situation.
So far, the 33-year-old Spanish left-back is the only one who has given his assurance on extending his deal.
The likes of Ramsey and Cech are yet to make their stance clear.
