Done Deal: Mane Reiterates Liverpool Stay Amidst Real Madrid Rumours
Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has dismissed transfer rumours linking him with a summer move to Spanish giants Real Madrid again ahead of the Champions League meeting with Barcelona.
The Senegalese international told reporters in his pre-match thoughts ahead of the Barcelona game that he wants to stay at Anfield despite the transfer rumours of a possible transfer to Real Madrid when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is expected to oversee a big rebuilding job at the club and the Frenchman is said to be a big fan of Sadio Mane.
Former Southampton star Mane has always maintained that he will stay at Barcelona for the long haul and his response was no different when asked about a potential transfer to Real Madrid ahead of the mammoth Champions League clash with Barcelona.
The Spanish champions host Mane and Liverpool in the first leg of their semifinal tie on Wednesday night before the return leg in England next week Tuesday.
Mane is expected to play a big part for Liverpool in the two-legged semifinal tie against the Blaugrana.
The Senegalese star has scored 24 goals this season for Liverpool including four goals in the Champions League this term.
