Difficult Rival: Liverpool Hailed By Guardiola As Title Race Hots Up

Five-time European champions Liverpool have drawn the praise of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola as the Premier League title race enters feverpitch as from this weekend with two games left to play.

Pep Guardiola paid tribute to Liverpool during his pre-match press conference ahead of the league game at home to Manchester City.

According to him, Liverpool are the most difficult rival that he has had to face in his managerial career.

Pep Guardiola has one of the most attractive managerial CVs in the history of club football having already won league titles in Spain, Germany and England.

Manchester City and Guardiola have had to deal with the threat of Liverpool in their quest to win the Premier League title for a second successive season.

The Citizens can win the league title ahead of the Reds if they win their last two league games at home to high-flyers Leicester City and away to relegation threatened Brighton on the last day.

Manchester City are one point better than Liverpool going into the final two games but the Reds play first this weekend and they can put pressure on the Citizens by winning their game at Newcastle United on Sunday night.

Manchester City don’t play until Monday when they welcome Leicester City to the Etihad Stadium.
