Reports claim that Manchester United defender Luke Shaw will this week train on his own after recently be criticized by manager Jose Mourinho.
After the victory on Sunday over Swansea, Mourinho heavily criticized both Luke Shaw and Chris Smalling after they opted out of playing the match over injury concerns. Being an International week with players going away to represent their countries in various matches lined up, the duo of Shaw and Smalling were not picked by England manager Gareth Southgate to represent their country.
The Daily Mail reports that Shaw is to undergo an individual training session at Carrington, Manchester United’s training ground. While some Manchester United players who are not going to be involved with their National teams during the International break have been given some time off, Shaw will this week be at Carrington to concentrate on his fitness.
Shaw 21, will work in the swimming pool with a physio as well as on the pitch to undergo a running program. Smalling does not seem to be left out of the training session as it is also believed he has a foot problem which he will work on in Carrington.
It is expected that both players after going through their training programs should be fit to face Arsenal on November 19.
Mourinho had revealed after the match that Shaw decided not to play on Sunday morning which left Mourinho fielding players out of position in defense but there are reports that claim Shaw never traveled with United making the whole situation confusing.
