Deal Almost Done! Arsenal set to complete third summer recruit this week

According to British media reports, North London giants Arsenal are edging closer to signing Lucas Torreira following the signing of goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

The Daily Telegraph is claiming that Arsenal are close to sealing the transfer deal for their next signing this summer as newly appointed manager Unai Emery looks to seal his authority on his new team at The Emirates Stadium.

The same report says that the Gunners have almost tied up a transfer deal to sign Sokratis Papastathopoulos to the team from German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund following the free acquisition of Stephan Lichsteiner this summer transfer window.

And after the North Londoners confirmed the arrival of goalkeeper Leno on Tuesday evening, the same article states says that a transfer deal for Uruguay international star Torreira is now very close as the North Londoners look to reinforce their team ahead of Unai Emery’s debut season in charge.

The former PSG boss has been appointed in as Arsene Wenger’s successor at The Emirates Stadium after the French tactician chose to end his 22-year spell in charge of the club at the conclusion of last campaign.

Arsene Wenger left the Emirates having failed to qualify the side for the UEFA Champions League for the past two campaigns running, meaning that the former Premier League champions will play in the UEFA Europa League next term.
