According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, Arsenal have a long-standing transfer interest in Monaco attacker Thomas Lemar.
Arsenal are facing a ‘war’ to keep their top player’s Germany international attacker Mesut Ozil and Chilean international Alexis Sanchez in the winter transfer window.
Both Superstars have been strongly linked with a transfer to Old Trafford this January considering their present contract situations at the Emirates.
The Chilean international has also been connected with a switch to English Premier League table toppers Manchester City after his failed summer transfer.
Arsenal tried so hard to land Thomas Lemar in a £92million deal last transfer window but the winger rejected a switch to the Emirates.
The North London club will have a major decision to make should either Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez leave, opening up the likelihood of the gunners relaunching their Thomas Lemar offer.
Sheth confirmed that the Gunners do have an interest in the AS Monaco attacker but ruled out the forward leaving the French side this month.
Lemar netted 11 goals and provided 12 assists in 48 matches in all competitions last season as AS Monaco surprisingly won the French Ligue 1 title and made it to the UEFA Champions League semi-final.
