Champions league finalist Liverpool are preparing a big-money offer to land Napoli star Amadou Diawara this summer transfer window, as per reports emanating from Italy.
Liverpool want Diawara
Italian publication Calciomercato is claiming that Liverpool are interested in a move to land the 20-year-old this summer transfer window as Reds boss Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his team ahead of next campaign.
The same article states that Liverpool and Tottenham are being strongly linked with an attempt to bring in the Guinean as both English Premier League teams look to strengthen their teams this summer.
The Merseysider’s are said to have already launched an attempt to possibly bring the midfield maestro to Anfield Stadium this summer.
He has mostly played second fiddle to Brazilian Jorginho in the Napoli squad this campaign and he has only started five matches in Serie A for the club.
Diawara to link up with countrymate
Should he join Liverpool, the midfielder would link up with his fellow national team colleague Naby Keita, who is set to sign for the Reds from Leipzig at the end of the campaign after a move was agreed last year.
The Reds are likely to be in the market for reinforcements in the midfield, with Emre Can expected to leave the club on a free move at the conclusion of the season.
