Arsenal joins hunt for 25-year-old hitman
According to reports from Mirror, Arsenal have swooped in to get Alexandre Lacazette and Lyon are ready to sell if Arsenal can put £60m on the table.
During last summer, there were reports that Arsenal held talk with Lyon to lure Lacazette to Emirates.
The deal did not materialize as he eventually signed a new deal and was persuaded to remain at Lyon but this month the 25-year-old has confirmed that he plans for a new challenge elsewhere prompting Arsenal to renew talks.
It looks like his words has made several clubs shown interest in the 25-year-old as the Mirror reported.
In this season so far, the 25-year-old has scored 26 goals in 30 appearances, this has prompted Tottenham, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid to bid for the star player.
The Mirror also suggested that Lyon are not ready to sell the player but they will be willing to listen to an offer if £60m is put on the table.
With Alexis Sanchez future in doubt, Arsenal need to line-up a potential replacement should in case he decided to leave at the end of the season.
Arsene Wenger needs to be prepared to cough-out £60m for Lacazette as a player of that caliber doesn’t come cheap.
