It seems the name Daniele Rugani will not be leaving the news anytime as the player is back in the Italian media, for several reasons.
First of which is the fact that the player’s father taking to social media and expressing a frustration with the defender’s situation at the Old Lady.
Rugani has only featured for a total of 180 minutes in Serie A so far this season and in the Champions League, he has only been opportune to play just 1 single game in the whole of the competition.
According to this weekends edition of Corriere dello and Tuttosport which are popular Italian newspapers, it’s reported that the player is annoyed with his situation, mainly because Juventus prevented him from joining Chelsea during the summer window.
Insinuations across Italian media suggest that the club is still insistent on keeping the player at the club, especially given his father’s quotes. Rugani is now 24 years of age and is sick of being told he’ll be Juve’s future.
Reports say Chelsea’s offer, is about €45m plus bonuses and the Blues remain in ‘first place’ to sign him.
In Italy, there’s interest from AS Roma and both Milan clubs, but the Maurizio Sarri connection (they worked together at Empoli) will likely be helpful for Chelsea.
