I was shocked when music was played

Many surprises awaits Antonio Conte in England and Chelsea. The Italian coach is adapting to life in England and Chelsea, both on the pitch and off the pitch.

And recently, the former Juventus manager revealed his shock at music being played in the dressing room before matches and has been shocked when his Chelsea players listened to music before a game.

Conte arrived at Chelsea last summer and it appears he is already feeling at home. He has helped the Stamford Bridge club get to the top of the league table and made them firm favourites to win the title this season.

However, players listening to music is something he wasn’t just expecting. From his time in Italy at Juventus and as the Italian national team coach, it wasn’t a ritual which would be carried out.

Nevertheless, he is now used to it and allows his Chelsea players to decide what is played.

“In Italy there isn’t music before the game in the changing-room – this doesn’t exist,” he said.

“In these six months, seven months, I learned it’s not important if there is the music or not.

“It is important to be focused, to be prepared to face the game.

“If there is the music it is important to see in the eyes of my players the right concentration.

“Until now I always see this.”

Chelsea have only lost one of their last 19 games in the Premier League to leave them well clear at the top of the table.

And as his side prepare to take on Swansea City, the Italian boss has warned his Chelsea players to be prepared for a difficult test against them at Stamford Bridge
