Werder Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann has confirmed that the German Bundesliga giants are yet to receive any offer from other clubs for one of their most prized assets.

In a chat with German media outlet Weser-Kurier, Frank Baumann said that Bremen have not received any offer from clubs who are interested in goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka.

The Czech Republic international shot stopper has been a key player for Werder Bremen since he joined the German Bundesliga club from Sparta Prague FC of Czech Republic.

Pavlenka, 27, has been linked with Premier League giants Liverpool and Italian Serie A champions Juventus.

Recently crowned European champions Liverpool might need a new goalkeeper next season with doubts over the future of both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius.

Simon Mignolet wanted to leave Liverpool last summer but a move away from the club was blocked by senior Reds officials as he stayed on as a backup for undisputed first choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

On his part, Loris Karius was sent out on loan for the season.

The German shot stopper joined Besiktas on a season-long deal but it’s unlikely that the former Mainz 05 will join Turkish Super Lig club permanently.

Jiri Pavlenka could be the backup goalkeeper to Alisson Becker at Liverpool next season.
