Tottenham Hotspur star player Toby Alderweireld has been heavily linked with a move away from the London club after emerging as a target for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.

However, there are new reports that Spurs want the red devils to give them Anthony Martial in exchange for Toby.

At Old Trafford, manager Jose Mourinho is keen on adding more power to his defense department, and Alderweireld has successfully caught his attention with his impressive performances at his club.

The talented defender moved to England from Atletico Madrid in 2015 and he remain one of the best players in the continent. However, he has been unsettled at London in recent times, and it is understood he isn’t in the good books of manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Toby won’t extend his stay at Tottenham and is expected to join the red devils before the end of next month.

But it was made known that Pochettino’s side want to make right the situation as quick as possible, and they are interested in getting the signature of Anthony Martial as part of the deal.

The Old Trafford club splashed £36million on Martial’s signature in 2015 and he was impressive under manager Louis Van Gaal. However, the Frenchman keeps struggling for regular playing time under new boss Jose Mourinho.
