Chelsea have reportedly won the race to sign American international Christian Pulisic ahead of other interested European clubs.
The new development was confirmed by renowned English media platform Daily Mirror.
It was revealed that the deal for the 20-year-old could be worth £60m and that the transfer might be announced as early as next month ahead of a move in the summer.
Christian Pulisic plays his club football for German Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund at the moment.
Apart from Chelsea, Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United were also linked with the young forward.
Jurgen Klopp is said to be a big admirer of Christian Pulisic and he was keen to reunite with the American at Liverpool having worked with him while the German tactician was the Borussia Dortmund manager.
Pulisic has 18 months left on his current Borussia Dortmund contract and the club would like to cash in on him after he rejected fresh contract terms to extend his stay at Signa Iduna Park beyond 2020.
Christian Pulisic has not seen much action in the Borussia Dortmund starting XI this season following the impressive form of forwards Johann Bruun Larsen and Jadon Sancho.
Larsen and Sancho have been impressive in Dortmund’s run to the top of the Bundesliga table.
