Ruben Loftus-Cheek is better than Cesc Fabregas – Chris Sutton

Former Chelsea star Chris Sutton believes that on-loan young midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a better player than Spaniard Cesc Fabregas.

The Chelsea youngster hasn’t been exceptionally brilliant this season but he was still able to earn a call-up to the Three Lions squad, where he performed pretty well in his debut match against World Champions Germany on Friday evening and since then, the Chelsea loanee has been the most discussed player.

When questioned if Loftus Cheek is better than Spain international forward Cesc Fabregas, Chris Sutton said yes, an assertion which may only be applicable next campaign or the campaign after.

The former Arsenal star is still playing pretty well at this point in his career, and his class has really shown especially when played in a three in midfield this campaign, with many of the goals being provided from him but age is no longer on his side, so Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be better than Cesc Fabregas very soon.

Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek is currently on a season-long loan at struggling Premier League star Crystal Palace but if he continues playing with the form he showed for the England national team then he could earn a first-team spot at the West London club but he will face stiff competition from Cesc Fabregas, midfield maestro N’Golo Kante, Tiemoue Bakayoko and England international Danny Drinkwater.
