Premier League champions Chelsea have been given new hope in their race for the signature of Paris Saint-Germain player Marco Verratti after his agent warned the French heavyweights that their money won’t be enough to stop the Italian from leaving.
Just last month, there were speculations that Verratti is one of Antonio Conte’s main targets ahead of the summer window and that the west London club had submitted a £55 million offer for the midfielder.
It is understood that the Premier League champions are not the only ones interested in him, but are facing stiff competition from both Barcelona and Juventus for the Italy international.
Right now, the 24-year-old’s agent Donato Di Campli says Juventus are an attractive proposition but insists his client would be keen to join any successful club.
Speaking to Tuttosport, Di Campli reveals PSG have the will to keep the player at all costs, but the Paris club haven’t done enough to make him too happy in the last four or five years.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte worked together with the youngster at the Italian national team and Marco’s contract with PSG expires in 2021.
Conte is expected to receive huge money from the Chelsea management for bolstering his squad this summer. So, money won’t be much of a problem to get Verratti.
