Chelsea Transfer: Target’s Agent Confirms Talks About Deal – Not Bakayoko

Leonardo Bonucci

Juventus star player Leonardo Bonucci appears to be destined to play in the premier league next season after emerging as a target for both Chelsea and Manchester City this summer.

And in a new development, the two English clubs have been handed a boost in their pursuit of the defender after his agent confirmed talks about leaving Turin are under way.

Few hours ago, there were widespread speculations in Italy that Serie A giants AC Milan had made an approach to sign the Italian defender and that Inter Milan have also entered into the race for his signature.

However, Chelsea and Man City have a long-standing interest in the 30-year-old and it is understood that the blues boss Antonio Conte has already asked his side to bring in the Italy international this summer.

It now seems the old ladies have allowed Leonardo the chance to leave after his agent, Alessandro Lucci, told the press that a sale is being worked on.

Even though City boss Pep Guardiola has made the Italian one of his primary targets this summer, Chelsea seem to have an edge due to Antonio Conte’s influence on the player (both have worked together back then at Juventus and in the Italian national team)

Despite being in the final phrase of his career, the Serie A champions are still able to command a high asking price for the veteran as it is understood that the Italian club are expecting nothing less than £50 Million for Bonucci
