Defending Premier League champions Chelsea look like the possible destination for Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio despite recent rumour also linking him heavily as a target for Liverpool and Manchester United.
Hot prospect
The Spain international forward looks one of Europe’s most exciting young talents at the moment despite seeing his game time reduced at the Santiago Bernabeu this term.
The Chelsea target could fit in properly at most top sides and would surely make a good like-for-like replacement for Belgium international forward Eden Hazard at West London were the Belgian to leave.
As per latest reports from Don Balon, that now looks like the most likely eventuality this summer transfer window as Real Madrid consider using him in a number of swap deals.
Real could offload Asensio
The Spanish publication also claims the Los Blancos could try to sell Asensio to boost their hopes of landing Manchester United safe hand David de Gea or Spurs forward Harry Kane.
However, the story states that Blues’ own interest in the Spaniard could make that the most probable of the three transfer deals, which, truly, would possibly satisfy each side involved.
Manchester United and Spurs won’t want to lose goalie De Gea and striker Harry Kane, while Real Madrid could do with an attacker like Eden Hazard to help replace struggling attackers like Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Gareth Bale.
