Chelsea set to announce new manager as agent spotted in London to finalize deal

According to British media reports, Maurizio Sarri’s representative have arrived in the City of London to complete his proposed switch to take over as Chelsea boss.

Sky Sports is claiming that the Sarri’s agent have landed in London to seal a transfer deal for the Tactician to take over from manager Antonio Conte at Chelsea this summer.

The former Juventus manager’s future at Stamford Bridge has been a major source of rumour all summer due to Chelsea’s disappointing fifth spot finish last term, and it now seems that Maurizio Sarri will be the tactician man to take over at Chelsea.

The same article says that the Blues refused to make any remark on reports that they are ready to cough out £4.4million to release the Italian from Serie A side Napoli.

It is also suggested in the same report that former Chelsea star Italian Gianfranco Zola is poised to resume a role as Maurizio Sarri’s assistant manager at the West London club for next term.

The Blues will be looking to break back into the Premier League top four next term after they finished in fifth spot in the English Premier League log last campaign and missed out on UEFA Champions League qualification.

However, the former Premier League champions did manage to conclude the League season on a high note by winning the Emirates FA Cup.
