Chelsea to Reignite Their Interest in £58m-rated Napoli Defender Kalidou Koulibaly
The Blues were linked with Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly during the last transaction period but the deal did not materialize as Napoli are asking too much for the player’s price tag.
After the close of the January transfer window, the Blues reportedly ended their chase for the player but according to reports Antonio Conte is believed to have reignited his interest in getting the 26-year-old defender this summer.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, the Blues are now considering making a new offer for the player but it is yet to be known the price they are willing to spend for his services.
The Senegalese defender has been one of the best defenders in the Serie A this term as he maintains consistent performance for Napoli at the back of the pitch and that has helped the team remain in the second position in the Serie A standings.
Meanwhile, the West London club might still pull out of the race for the Senegalese player should Napoli ask too much from them.
Antonio Conte is reportedly considering integrating in-form Kurt Zouma to his starting lineup in the upcoming season.
The France international is one of Stoke City’s best performers this term and Conte wants him back to Stamford Bridge for the teams pre-season tour.
