One of the Chelsea stars linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer is Serbian star Nemanja Matic.
And according to new reports, the premier league champions won’t sell the player cheaply this summer as they are ready to hold out for an offer of at least £40million.
The Stamford Bridge club are moving closer to securing a deal for France international Tiemoue Bakayoko who looks set to join from Monaco for around £35m.
Tiemoue is expected to hold talks with Chelsea over the weekend and his arrival in Antonio Conte’s side could instigate a move for Nemanja.
Matic has emerged as a target for Manchester United this summer, and he is said to desire a reunion with former manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
It is understood that Matic is keen on a move to Man United as he fears he no longer has a future with Chelsea. Should Bakayoko’s move become a reality, the 22-year-old will be expected to partner fellow countryman N’Golo Kante in the middle of the park next season, leaving Matic on the bench.
And the Evening Standard are saying that even if Matic desire leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, Chelsea won’t allow him leave on the cheap, with the management only ready to listen to offers in excess of £40m.
