Chelsea Move Getting Closer, Superb Striker Agreed To Earn £150,000-per-week At Stamford Bridge

Unlike Man United and Man City, Chelsea are yet to make a major signing this summer, but it appears the status quo is changing any moment from now.

Everton star striker Romelu Lukaku has been heavily linked with the Stamford Bridge club, and it appears an announcement would be made anytime soon.

According to the Daily Star, the Premier League champions have finally agreed on terms to re-sign the Belgian forward from Goodison Park.

Chelsea, who finished seven points clear of runners-up Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last season, have been constantly linked with persuading the Belgium international back to west London ahead of the 2017-18 season.

The 24-year-old joined Chelsea back in 2011 from Anderlecht but failed to score a single goal in 15 first-team games for the Blues. He was eventually loaned out to West Bromwich Albion and Everton, before sealing a permanent move to the Toffees in 2014.

He has evolved into one of the best strikers in the Premier League and in the just concluded premier league season, he scored 26 goals and provided seven assists in 39 appearances for Ronald Koeman’s side. He narrowly missed out on the Golden Boot award to Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is keen on reinforcing his squad ahead of a busy campaign, and The Daily Star claims the player has agreed to make a return back to Chelsea this summer, where he is set to earn £150,000-a-week.
